Managing your Fleet

You can add aircraft up to the limit defined by your subscription plan. To get started, go to Settings → Fleet → Aircraft.

When you select a manufacturer and model, key UAS properties will be pre-filled automatically from our database. You can also log any hours and flights completed before joining Dronecloud - useful if you want Dronecloud to maintain a complete record of total flight time and flight counts, which will then feed into maintenance schedules.

Configuring Maintenance

Maintenance is managed under Fleet → Maintenance.

One-off tasks can be created using the Create One Off Task button. This is useful for recording ad-hoc maintenance events that fall outside your regular schedule.

Recurring maintenance is configured using Maintenance Templates. Each template can be set to trigger based on flight hours, number of flights, a time period, or any combination of the three.

You can assign one or multiple aircraft to a template. When adding an aircraft, you'll be asked to choose a start point for the calculation:

• Today - only flights logged from this point forwards count towards the maintenance trigger. Any prior flight history is excluded.
• Aircraft Creation Date - all flight logs already recorded in Dronecloud for that aircraft are included in the calculation.
• Custom - logs from a date you specify onwards are used.

Checklists can be attached to templates and will appear for completion when a maintenance task is carried out.

Once maintenance is configured, the system will flag any aircraft that is due or overdue for maintenance at the point it is allocated to an operation.
